"Felix M."
Felix M. Henderson was born in Oglethorpe county Georgia, on March 8, 1842.
The Regiment
The 3rd Infantry Regiment was organized By Colonel J.M. Withers in April 1861.
Men were recruited in the cities of Mobile and Montgomery, and the Counties of lowndes, coosa, and Autuaga.
The Battle of Seven Pines
The Battle of Seven Pines took place in Henrico County Virginia.
The Battle started on May 31, 1862 and ended on June 1, 1862 with inconclusive results.
There were 7,997 Confederate casualties.
The Battle of Malvern Hill
The Battle of Malvern Hill took place in Henrico County Virginia.
The Battle started on July 1, 1862, ended with a Union victory.
The number of estimated casualties was 8,500.
Gettysburg
The Battle of Gettysburg took place in Adams County Pennsylvania.
The Battle started on July 1, 1863, and ended on July 3, 1863 with a Union victory.
The estimated Confederate casualties were close to 28,000
Point Lookout
Felix was held at Point Lookout for about 20 months.
The soldiers had to sleep in tents, did not have very little for blankets, and were given little bread and crackers.
Point Lookout held more than 50,000 between 1863 and 1865, and more than 3,000 died at the camp.
Battle of Mine Run
The Battle took place on November 27, 1863, the Battle ended on December 2, 1863 with Inconclusive results.
The Battle took place in Orange County.
Felix Henderson was in the Point lookout Prison at this time.
The Confederate casualties were 608.

The year of 1874 Felix M. Henderson returned to Texas to live with wife Mrs. F.M Henderson.

Felix M. Henderson was 77 years, 2 months, 18 days when he died on May 26, 1919, and was buried at Liberty Cemetery.
Mrs. Felix Henderson Died of uremia in December of 1938 and was buried at liberty.
